Hey hey hey! Guess who’s back 😂 Couldn’t be me, of course. How are you all? Remember to answer to this question in the comments because literally no one answers to this 😭🥺❤ Like heyy I wanna check in on you all too 😂👍
Click here to view all the Blogmas posts up till now! This is just the second day and I have the spirit going wild 😛
Today I will be talking about my favourite winter movies! Since it is winter now (though my December started with RAINS), I thought it’d be really cool (see what I did there? XD) to talk about my favourite movies! So let’s get into the post 💕
First Movie – Cinderella!
About – Ambitious orphan Cinderella gets some magical help from her Fab G to realise her dreams, making a life for herself selling her signature dresses.
Starring – Camila Cabello, Nicholas Galitzine, Billy Porter, Idina Menzel and James Corden!
Favourite Song – Million to One
Rating – 4.2/5
So, this movie basically is a whole new version of Cinderella! It focuses on empowering women and how every woman doesn’t need a “prince” in order to be successful! I love the concept of this movie so much. At first I thought Camila couldn’t really act and was just dancing and singing around (the movie has SO MANY songs 😂) but then I realised that she can act, very well that too! So I really recommend you all watching this movie!!
Second Movie – Snowpiercer!
About – When the earth is frozen, only a few survivors of the human race are left and they board a train travelling the globe. Curtis leads a group of people wanting to control the engine and the future.
Starring – Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton, John Hurt, Octavia Spencer, Song Kang-Ho and Ed Harris!
Rating – 7.1/10
I first found out about this because of Spring Day (a BTS song), which had a reference to this movie. And man, I love this movie! It has a bit of violence though (incase you’re not one for violence), and I honestly don’t want to spoil it further for you, so go watch it!! This movie gets you a full helping of visual style. I liked that aspect of it very much. The set design, the cinematography, the fight choreography, all were very entertaining. The acting was awesome!
Third Movie – Little Women!
About – While the March sisters enter the threshold of womanhood, they go through many ups and downs in life and endeavour to make important decisions that can affect their future.
Starring – Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh, Emma Watson, Eliza Scanlen and Laura Dern!
Rating – 7.8/10
I remember watching this movie with my mom! She slept halfway though 😂 Little Women has easily made its way into my top 10 of the year lists! With this movie Greta Gerwig has created art that is independently great from its original source material. (I have not read the book, nor any other adaption except the stage musical). Greta Gerwig directed the hell out of this movie and the fact that she wasn’t nominated for best director is absurd. It is a /MUST WATCH/ and you will not regret watching this movie!
Fourth Movie – Interstellar
About – When Earth becomes uninhabitable in the future, a farmer and ex-NASA pilot, Joseph Cooper, is tasked to pilot a spacecraft, along with a team of researchers, to find a new planet for humans.
Starring – Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine and Mackenzie Foy!
Rating – 8.6/10
Aghhh I do not know where to start on this movie 😂 We literally made a whole presentation on this for a physics project! Remember that rap me and Sneha wrote? Yeah, it was the same presentation. One thing is for sure that this movie is complicated to understand (I haven’t even understood it fully yet, but it’s such a thriller) and you might have to watch it multiple times! To physics freaks, this is your movie 😀👍 I love movies related to space and stuff like that so yeah.
Hand down the best movie of all time! This is undoubtedly one of the best films ever made. This isn’t just a movie. It’s an emotion. You have to watch it if you’re into space and physics!
Fifth Movie – Home Alone!
About – Eight-year-old Kevin is accidentally left behind when his family leaves for France. At first, he is happy to be in charge, but when thieves try to break into his home, he tries to put up a fight.
Starring – Macaulay Culkin, Devin Ratray, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, and Catherine O’Hara!
Rating – 7.6/10
This classic film. I’m pretty sure everyone reading this post has watched it. I love it everytime I watch it! Home Alone is a movie I love watching with my family. It’s as hilarious as the first time I watched it, everytime I watch it (does that make sense? Lmao 😂😂)
That was it for the post! Which are your favourite winter-themed movies? Let me know in the comments!
